Application Process This is your chance! Show us who you are! THINK. MAKE. START. !

Step out of your comfort zone:

Choose the one discipline category for which you want to apply within TMS. It is your free choice to decide which role you want to take during the course. However, your application will compete against all the other applications within this category!

Therefore, choose wisely!

Send us what you think expresses best who you are and what you do. It can be a short video (<90 sec), an essay, a portfolio, a pitchdeck, a piece of code, or your winning recipe for the perfect team in which you were the master chef. CVs work too.
Go on, upload it somewhere and post the link in the “Application Link” field.

Show us extraordinary:

The link (and only the link*) you provide for this application is public. So what you show us, you show to the world. And guess what: you get to review and rank other applicants: who would you want in the course? So this is it, truly democratic: everyone votes and gets voted on.

And you already get to know the people who you might want on your team (because, pssst…the team is everything!!).

Things You´d Want to Know at This Stage:

Please keep in mind not to give out information you do not want to give out: nobody cares for your address and your birthday, for example. Only the TMS orga team sees aggregated rankings, and we don’t collect who rated whom – so don´t worry, ranking is anonymous, and nobody will know how you ranked and were ranked by your peers.

Once everybody has applied, and the application window closes, every applicant will receive application links of the other participants. Now its your turn to tell us who you want to work with in an interdisciplinary team. The TMS Orga Team then gets a ranking for every discipline category. Based on that we choose 10-12 people per discipline.

Discipline Categories It is your free choice to decide which role you want to take during the course, but choose wisely!

Business Design & Marketing

For everyone who is concerned with the business aspects and viability of the product, this is the category you want to choose.

Software Development

To everyone who likes to code and develop stuff, feel free to choose this category, as you will take the role on that in your team.

Hardware Development

Everyone who sees her-/himself as a Maker, Builder, etc. and wants to get her/his hands dirty, should choose this category.

Problem Expert

Everyone who is undecided or simply doesn’t fit the other categories should choose this path.

Team constellation

For a good working team in mechatronics we need at least One Business, One Software and One Hardware Person, and ideally someone who has a Special Expertise in some other field.
